“What happens when two songwriters start making eyes at each other from across a crowded bar? Songs – that’s what happens. Heartfelt tunes about heartache, love and loss, mischief, pain and pleasure. With the help of many a musician friend, heartsick melodies are popping up like weeds around these parts,” courtesy of the Tarweed Two.

Joining us this Friday are California locals Animal Lore and Coast Jumpers. Animal Lore is a four-piece indie band from San Jose, California. The band consists of Joseph Choe, Ben Troung, Nick Troughton, and Thomas Arballo. Their music is derived from a broad spectrum of sounds. Influenced by a wide range of different artists, Animal Lore weaves intricate layers of sound with a myriad of instruments and subtle changes in melody.
Joining them will be slocal band and Kreuzberg regular History of Painters! Come watch the show and check out out Artisit After Dark, Isaac Yorke.
Artist Issac Yorke will be displaying his master pieces in the Kreuzberg Art Gallery / Conference Room the month of May. The exhibit will be part of Art After Dark this Friday 5.4.
“My medium is acrylic and ink,” says the artists himself. “Its a bunch of pieces that I put together for another one of my shows titled “visually appalling”. The pieces that I’m putting in are very colorful and somewhat bizarre.”

With over 25 years of experience in the field of education, Merideth is truly a local– hailing her degree from our very own Cal Poly. Merideth delights in sharing the magic of story with young children and looks forward to doing just that on May 2nd with your little ones!
Daniel Whittington joins us this Saturday night at 8pm.
Daniel Whittington has a sound that covers a lot of territory. He spent years playing drums with various blues and Texas rock bands in the area surrounding Austin, TX, and he spent the better part of 6 years on the road touring across the entire US, Canada, and parts of England with his band, that was signed to UK based record label.
2012 will be spent touring to support the release of that album, as well as introducing people to a new direction that takes Daniel back down the road to his own musical roots.

Acoustic punk comes to Kreuzberg this Friday starting at 8pm!
Simply put, Divided Heaven is Jeff Berman, an East Coast transplant living in Los Angeles with a voice and a guitar. On record and stage, Divided Heaven is a punk band without the amplification, singing stories rooted in history and politics, travel and experience, love and hope. His good friend and fellow acoustic punk artist Jeff Rowe will by joining Divided Heaven on stage.
Opening for Divided Heaven is The Blackhands. The Blackhands are an acoustic punk band, based out of Los Angeles, CA. This powerful three-piece consists of acoustic guitar, upright bass, drums, and vocals. The Blackhands unique form of acoustic punk always leaves the fans begging for more from this DIY trio. Local band Philly and the Mewlips will also be here open for the show.
All the way from Nashville, indie-folk-pop solo artist Sharaya Mikael will be playing this Wednesday.
Her pure voice and catchy melodies paired with intelligent lyrics and tranquil instrumentation make for tunes that you won’t mid having stuck in your head, as they surely will be upon a first listen.
